Selkirk Tour Line Tour Pickleball Bag

Selkirk Overview: The Selkirk Tour line is a very high quality bag that is not only spacious but lightweight. It has a very clean look with comfortable zipper pulls and a ventilated cushioned backing. It feels great on the back despite it being the largest bag of their line. The side pocket is waterproof and insulated perfect for holding valuables. It's a bit bigger than expected, so it's best for those that plan to bring a lot of gear to the court.
Selkirk Design: Starting off with the exterior the Tour Line bag features 2 side pockets. One with a soft fleece like fabric to protect a paddle. The other side pocket is thermal lined for food or water. It features 2 exterior accessory pockets as well as a top opening and front opening that both access the center compartment. Lastly the bottom pocket includes a ventilated shoe storage compartment. The interior has 3 separate dividers with smaller zippers and tons of storage space.
Selkirk Performance: The Selkirk Tour line is the largest backpack on this list with over 30 liters of storage volume. One of my favorite features of this bag is that the front pocket unzips into the main compartment. This makes it incredibly easy to take out the contents without digging through anything. The padded back and shoulder straps along with a sternum strap make this bag rest very well on the back.

Neonic Pickleball Backpack

Price *$59.99 | Sold ByNeonic | Shop Amazon |
Neonic Overview: The Neonic Pickleball bag is functional, light, and easy to travel with. It comes equipped with a spacious main compartment with a laptop sleeve, separate paddle compartment (fitting up to 2 paddles), and extra pockets within the main compartment for keys, wallets, etc. On the exterior you'll find 2 large 40 oz water bottle holders and a ventilated shoe compartment.
Neonoic Design: Despite the Neonic bag looking more compact it surprisingly has a ton of room. Instead of offering a lot of smaller compartments it seems they focused on providing more space in the inner chamber. There's only 2 outer pockets as well as shoe storage and water bottle holders. The inside is very spacious with a laptop/paddle sleeve. The material feels more cost effective and the bag itself feels more like a traditional backpack with the exception of shoe storage. Overall I do like the design and use of the large storage compartment.
Neonic Performance: The bag feels compact and lightweight. It fits all the essential gear needed to play pickleball and some. I would have preferred more pockets for accessories but the larger inside made up for that. One downside is the shoe storage pokes up into the bag limiting interior space when carrying shoes. This is a common tradeoff with these types of bags, just something to note.

Joola Vision 2 Deluxe Pickleball Backpack

Price *$79.99 | Sold ByJoola | Shop Amazon |
Joola Overview: The Joola Vision 2 is a great all around backpack for those looking to play after work or the gym. I love that it zips all the way down for easy access. It has plenty of space in the main compartment fitting 4 paddles and a laptop sleeve.
Joola Design: This bag has 4 main compartments. A large inner chamber to hold either paddles, clothes, or any larger items. Side pockets to hold up to 3 balls per side. A bottom pocket under the bag to fit shoes. Lastly, a small exterior front pocket for accessories. The bag overall has a nice design and feels very comfortable. It does come in black, blue, or pink and offers some neat little features like a fence hook.
Joola Performance: The front material does have a stiff cheaper feel to it that unimpressed me. However, it is a perfect size and fits well on the back. The full zipper feature is nice as it almost turns into a duffel bag making it easy to access all the contents within the bag.

Fresh Pickle Overview: The Fresh Pickleball bag is definitely geared more to women and features carry handles and a sling. It is one of the most stylish bags on the market with great reviews. It’s on the smaller side so best for a paddle or two, water bottles, balls, and a pair of clothes or small accessories.
Fresh Pickle Design: This bag designed by Fresh pickle is not just a fashion statement, it's surprisingly spacious with the ability to fit 3 paddles along with balls and 2 water bottles. It has a shoulder strap as well as tote handles to carry the bag. The paddle holder is an exterior pocket connected to the bag which I found to be a unique but functional design. This separate cover allowed easy access to the paddles. Available in 6 colors the Fresh Pickle bag is extremely stylish and worth taking a look at.
Fresh Pickle Performance: The Fresh pickle bag is made with high quality nylon and comfortable to carry. It performs more like a large purse or pool bag with a dedicated exterior paddle cover. Although, the interior will fit 3 paddles.

CRBN Pickleball Sling Bag

Price *$60.00 | Sold ByCRBN | Shop Amazon |
CRBN Overview: CRBN is known for making high end pickleball equipment and this bag is no exception. Although it is only offered in one color, the overall design is very sleek and good looking. It’s on the smaller side of the bags reviewed, but it is definitely one of the highest quality bags on the market. Everything from the material, zippers, straps, and liners just feel luxurious.
CRBN Design: We love the sleek modern look of this bag. The thin rectangular shape gives it a camelback style to it. Being only 11” wide it’s not too heavy and can fit almost anyone. The outer material has a leather like trim that feels very high quality. The insulated inside is something you’d find in a cooler. You can tell no expense was spared in the design and quality of the construction of this bag. There are 4 smaller outer pockets and 5 inner pockets.
CRBN Performance: The CRBN bag overall feels very good on the back with its single adjustable strap. It’s not too bulky and fits all the necessary equipment you’d need to bring to the court. The thermalined lined pockets do a great job keeping the inside contents temperature regulated, keeping your water cool on warmer days. Overall the bag has plenty of smaller pockets for accessories and the main compartment for paddles. It lacks dedicated ball storage and shoe storage. However, it compensates with the quality of the space over the quantity of space offered.

A11N Tournament Pickleball Backpack

---|---|---|
Price *59.49 | Sold ByA11N Sports | Shop Amazon |
A11N Overview: The A11N Tournament backpack Is very similar to the Joola bag with a few exceptions. On the A11N the paddles are stored on the side pockets and the bag overall feels bigger. It doesn’t have the cheaper plastic front end like the Joola does. The velvet lined pockets feel extremely soft and include dividers to prevent the paddles from banging into each other. There are a ton of pockets and for the price you get one heck of a bag.
A11N Design: The A11N Tournament Pickleball Backpack offers over 12 pockets with lots of storage for paddles, shoes, balls, water bottles, and clothing. It's a backpack style with padded backpack straps and 3 main compartments. There are 2 compartments stretching across the side of the bag to store 4 paddles total. The inner chamber can store shoes, balls, clothes, and any other equipment. There is a smaller pocket to store keys and phones as well as a mesh water bottle holder. Available in 3 colors: Gold, red, and Blue.
A11N Performance: I love that A11N included a full zip down option to the main compartment to easily access the inside contents. The exterior side pockets fit 2 paddles each comfortably. The waterproof cover and velvet interior are nice features offered that you typically only see on higher priced backpacks.

Franklin Sports Pickleball Duffle Bag

Price *$102.75 | Sold ByFranklin | Shop Amazon |
Franklin Overview: The spacious Franklin Sports pickleball bag is a great option for pickleball, but it can also be used for other outdoor sports play. It is a larger bag with room for clothes, shoes, paddles, balls, and more. Although its rated for 2 paddles, you can easily fit 4 or more inside.
Franklin Design: The Franklin Duffel bag is a fantastic option for those looking for that extra storage and easy to access large center pocket. It has 2 large exterior pockets and a dedicated shoe storage compartment. The inside has 2 dedicated paddle sleeve pockets but you can easily fit plenty of additional paddles.
Franklin Performance: Overall the Franklin bag feels like a sports utility bag. The handle is comfortable and it's great for other sports as well. Definitely more than a pickleball bag! The only downside would be that it can take up a fair amount of space.

FAQ's
A pickleball bag can be extremely helpful if you’re a seasoned player. If your anything like me, you may have piles of paddles and balls sitting in the garage and are constantly forgetting gear at home when you play. If this relates, it could be a good idea to opt in for a pickleball backpack, to not only stay organized, but to protect your gear.
There are two main types of pickleball bags: Backpacks and Duffel Bags. A pickleball backpack is usually going to have slightly more room and will be better for players that carry a lot of stuff with them. If you travel a lot a backpack may be the way to go. A pickleball bag on the other hand is a better option if you are simply storing a few paddles, balls, and light equipment. They tend to be smaller in size and stylish.
Pickleball backpacks are measured in liters, a measurement of volume. Your typical carry bag will run around 15 liters. While an average backpack will run 25L. Some larger bags used reach up to 35+ liters. Depending on how efficient the bag is setup, 30L is more than enough to carry several paddles, clothes, balls, and accessories like tape.
Many pickleball bags are designed to fit paddles and shoes specifically. This makes the space more efficient and easier to access. However, it is totally fine to use a standard backpack as a paddle bag. In fact, we’ve found the laptop sleeve fits a pickleball paddle quite well.
